It is a pleasure to present the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid 2013-2014 Research Report.
The report provides the results of the research carried out by the University community during these two years, and clearly reflects Universidad Carlos III de Madrid strong position as a research institution.
The results have been presented in the same format as in previous editions, enabling the study of the evolution of the main research indicators for the last five years.
Itemized accounts of the funding obtained for university research can be found in the "University Data" section, together with information about numbers of theses, articles in science journals, faculty mobility, patents, etc. This information is accompanied by graphs for easy interpretation.
In “Department Data,” there is a complete file on every department, with information about personnel, research groups and a summary of the activities carried out during the last five years.
In the Departments files, there are full reports of their activities in 2013 and 2014.
This information reflects the current state of research at the University and is a highly valuable aid for our decision-making where scientific policy is concerned. It is an extremely useful resource for both internal and external use.
The report is in Spanish and English, with abundant multimedia content, and the entire research community at our University participated in its composition. I also wish to thank the research, library and communications services for their contributions to the report, as well as the department staffs.
